“That guy made you get kicked out of White Valley. That’s too bad. But that is ok, I will help you in your revenge” said a man to another guy.
In Miriam’s home town............
“Miriam, the book you requested last time is here.” said the store owner
“Really?” said Miriam
“Girls are girls, like to read romantic novels.” said the store owner
“That is because in reality there aren’t any.” said Miriam
“You are such a cute girl and you don’t have a boy friend yet?” said a voice behind her
“Ah...Sorry. My name is Michael Rits. I am a banker who just arrived this morning into town..” said the guy
“But I have.” said Miriam looking at him
“Huh?” said the guy
“A boy friend. Just not romantic that’s all.” said MiriamIn a saloon..............
Two new comers were fighting among themselves. Douglas came in as deputy and stop the fighting.Miriam told the store owner that she will come back for the book. Michael said he is interested in Miriam. But the store owner warn him that she is very “active”. On the way to the sheriff’s office, Miriam saw a man push over an old lady. She went and threw a rock which knocked over a bottle and hit him on the head. (*^^ What a gal, eh?)
Douglas was inside the sheriff's office locking up the two newcomers who were fighting before. Miriam was flipping through all the wanted posters. In there she found a novel that she had lend Douglas to read.
“Have you learn anything?” said Miriam
Douglas just looked at her.
“In the book, when the guy talk to the girl it is so romantic” said Miriam
“The girl is pretty and sexy, it is easy to say those words.” said Douglas
“Are you saying...that I am not pretty or sexy enough?” said a frowning Miriam,“It wasn’t easy for us to become lovers. But you still act the same as before. “
“I am telling you, it is hopeless if you want me to be romantic. Everyone has their bad points and I just can’t say those words!” said DouglasMiriam went up to the two guys who were lock in the cell by Douglas and told them, “But all girls want romance, right?”
“Hey, hey! Who are you discussing this with?” said Douglas *sweatdrop *
“Mister, you are wrong!” said one of the guy in the cell
“Don’t give me your opinions!” said Douglas
“She was the one who came to us for discussion.” said one guy to the other in the cell
“Yup!” said the other
(“Since when did those two became so buddy buddy?” thought Douglas)
Then they asked Douglas to read a section of the book where the guy was being very romantic to the girl when they were in prison.
“Where is that section?” said Miriam trying to flip through the book to find it
“Let me find it. Even though it takes me a longer time to read through a book, I read it very carefully so I know where it is. Unlike you.” said Douglas taking the book away from Miriam

Douglas try to read the lines to Miriam. But it sounded more like comedy and the guys in the cell cracked up. *^^” . Douglas then kicked those two out of jail. He saw Leo, the muscle guy who loves to fight, outside the sheriff’s office.
(“Ah. It is hopeless to get him to be romantic. I give up!” thought Miriam)
(“The guy I met in the store was handsome and romantic............” thought Miriam)
(“OK....let me start working.” said Miriam going back to the pile of wanted posters)“Leo! You aren’t in White Valley?” said Douglas
“That’s right” said Leo
Douglas told Miriam to wait for him at the sheriff’s office and that he would be right back. Douglas brought Leo to a deserted area and asked him why he is there. Leo said that if he return all the money then he can be a free man. He also said that since Douglas defeated White Valley, it became really boring there. And there are 2 men coming after Douglas to kill him. The guy who took the kid to White Valley is Sam Perkins and had hired an assassin named Keath because the boss of White Valley had done exactly what Douglas had asked him to do. The boss beat Sam up and threw him out of White Valley. Leo told Douglas that the White Valley boss admired him. And the rest who didn’t Leo had beaten them up. Douglas said don’t tell anyone about a hire assassin going after him.Leo handed in the money to Heuy. There were a bit missing because he used it to come here. Douglas said he would take care of the rest because Leo had helped him. Leo then said he doesn’t have any money and would like Douglas to help him find a job and living quarters. So Leo started to work at their farm.
“I dislike women.” said Leo to Miriam
“Dislike them then so what?” said Miriam frowning
“I asked you not to speak to me.” said Leo
“Oh please! I just asked if you wanted coffee. Stop being so and just answer me.” said Miriam
“I don’t want coffee from a woman” said Leo
“I think so too. But I don’t think this is an unique statement because anyone can think of that. If you REALLY dislike woman, then you should have a guy and girl cup and guy and guy coffee bean and only drink from beans that were pick by men. I surely want to see how this can be done.” said Miriam making everyone around her speechlessMiriam went back into the house and discussed with Grace why Leo hate woman. They came to the conclusion that he must had grown up with a lot of woman and married into a family with a lot of women and those woman picked on him that is why he dislike woman so much.
“What kind of woman is that? Gosh! I just give her one sentence and she came back with 10. How can I drink coffee like that?” said Leo to Douglas
Douglas seriously warn Leo that he can dislike woman all he want. But he has to be polite to Miriam. Leo knew that Douglas was serious about it so he told him that he would apologize to her when he see her.
Meanwhile the two bad guys are approaching Miriam’s hometown.
Miriam went out to get flowers for the table. There she saw Michael Rits. A hire hand saw them and told Douglas about it.
“I wanted to see you again. Can you imagine my feelings when I came here?” said Michael giving a flower to Miriam
“In front of you, even these flowers lose their color” said Michael
“You really know how to talk.” said Miriam red faced
“Normally I would not know what to say. It is your power that made me know how to say it.” said Michael.
“You will do well to say those things in the novel. If only Douglas would be able to say those to me....” said Miriam
“You still don’t understand? If looking at you and would not be able to say these things mean he shouldn’t be your boyfriend. If it was me I would do anything you ask me to do.” said Michael.
“Do anything?” said Miriam
“Anything.” said Michael
Douglas and Leo were there watching the scene behind some trees.
“Really anything, Michael?” said Miriam
“Yes.” said Michael
“Then.......Mr. Donald.” said Miriam
“Yes?” said Michael
“So you are Donald Russel.” said Miriam looking at a shocked Michael (Donald)
“There is a wanted poster of you, didn’t you know? You use your sweet talk to con widows out of their savings and then leave them. You made them all cry.” said Miriam
“Really, Miriam....” said Donald
“Your picture is on there too. No matter if you try to escape you will still get capture. If you go and surrender and give the money back maybe you get off.” said Miriam
“True. But you don’t understand, if you go and tell on me then that is the end of me. So right before I make my escape I need to kill you.” said Donald
“What? How dare you do this to a young lady. You call yourself a gentleman? You said you would listen to whatever I want you to do.” said Miriam kicking Donald and knocking him down
“That is two different things. Don’t run!” said Donald trying to grab Miriam
Just then, a foot came stomping down Donald’s back and holding him there.
“What is the difference then?” said Douglas with one foot on top of DonaldDouglas told Miriam and Leo that he will bring Donald into town. Donald started to taunt Douglas about his inability to keep Miriam happy. Douglas then pulled Donald’s hat over his eyes so he can’t see anything.
Meanwhile, Leo took the chance and apologized to Miriam. Miriam said she forgive him because of his wife and all the sisters that she had brought into his household. He got puzzled at that since he isn’t even married yet.In town, an elderly lady told Douglas that two strangers are looking for him on the out skirt of town. While Douglas look at the wanted poster of Keath, Heuy came in and told him that the sheriff from the other town can’t come and pick up Donald.
Douglas went back to the farm. He saw Miriam at the horse barn.
“So how is that guy?” said Miriam
“Put into the cell. Do you worry about him?” said Douglas
“Yes. I was the one who caught him.” said Miriam happily
“No way. If I wasn’t there who knew what would happened?” said Douglas
“But...” said Miriam
“From now on, don’t go with anyone no matter how romantic they seem.” said Douglas not too happily.
“You don’t understand. I went with him because I want to capture him. The person I wish to be romantic is just you. If would be meaningless if it was someone else.” said Miriam
“Ah..really?” said Douglas
Miriam smiled and went and grab hold onto Douglas’s arm.
“Hey...” said Douglas embarrassed
“It is ok if you aren’t romantic, since this isn’t one of your best qualities anyway. I am already satisfied.” said Miriam smiling with joy and rubbing her head against Douglas’ arm.
Douglas looked down at Miriam tenderly and pat her hand.Douglas went to see Leo in the guest room at the farm. He told him that the assassins are here. He doesn’t want Miriam to get hit by accident. Leo said why not just tell her then? Douglas said he doesn’t understand Miriam. He told Leo that he will leave town tomorrow to bring Donald to the other town. That way he will have the confrontation outside town and not near his friends.
Miriam was thinking of what Douglas had told her back at the horse barn. He said he would leave tomorrow to bring Donald to his town because the sheriff there can’t come and get him.
The next day, Douglas was getting ready to bring Donald back to his hometown. He shows Jessi the directions. Donald laughed and said Jessi is only a horse why are you showing him the map? Douglas then commented that one shouldn’t under estimate Jessi or else he would bite you. *And Jessi did bite Donald on the hand.
Donald noticed that they weren’t heading to his town...Douglas told him to stay with Jessi because he has something to take care of first.Sam Perkins and Keath decided that Douglas leaving town is the best time to get him.
At the farm, Card and Joel had to go away to help out at the train station. Miriam knew that Douglas was being too careful that night. So she thought instead of sitting down and worrying she might as well go and find out what was wrong. Leo saw her trying to get ready to go. He told her that Douglas left because some assassin is trying to kill him and Douglas didn’t want Miriam to be there. He tried to stop her but she kicked him on his groin and got away. On the out skirt of town, Miriam realized that besides Douglas’ horse prints there were two other horse prints.
Sam Perkins and Keath were riding along when Douglas pointed a shot gun at them. He told them to unarmed and get off their horses. When Keath tried to fire at Douglas, Douglas shot his gun away. Keath couldn’t believe that there were someone better at gun fighting than him. When Douglas wanted Perkins to take off Keath’s robe, Keath used Perkins’ body as a shield and got the gun behind his back and started to fire at Douglas. Douglas couldn’t fire back because he didn’t want to hit Perkins who had became a human shield. When Keath fired his 6 bullets and tried to get Perkin’s gun on the ground, Douglas fired it away. Douglas went in front of Keath but then Perkins came behind him and knock Douglas to the ground. So now Keath is holding the gun in front of Douglas.
Keath then gave the gun to Perkins. He went onto his horse and use the rope to lasso onto Douglas’ neck. Dragging Douglas onto the ground when he gallop on his horse. Then Miriam came, she started to fire at Keath. So Keath had to let go of the rope that was dragging Douglas so that he can get his shot gun to fire at Miriam.
“STOP!” cried Douglas
When the shot went off, Miriam fell off her horse.
“MIRIAM!” said Douglas running toward her.
She looked at Douglas and said she just fell off the horse but that she was ok though she had sprain her ankle. So Douglas carried Miriam into the bushes. Hidden her and then went to tackle Keath.While he was fighting with Keath. Perkins was trying to get an angle on Douglas with his gun. Miriam saw this and bite Perkins’ hand to loosen the gun away. Douglas noticed this and took Keath and wham him onto a rock knocking him unconscious.
Meanwhile, Perkins got hold of the gun and was pointing it at Miriam’s head. He told Douglas to take the knife on the ground and slit himself or else he would fire the gun at Miriam’s head.
“NO! If you die, then what was the purpose of me coming to save you? Douglas! Think how that would make me FEEL?” said a crying Miriam
Douglas looked at Miriam. Then his face filled with violent anger told Perkins, “You just try firing that gun, you jerk”
Perkins and Miriam stared at Douglas’ angry transformation
“If you fire I would chase you till the end of the earth; even to Hell. I will shred your body into pieces!” said Douglas determinedly walking toward them
“Don’t come near here” said Perkins frighten then he pointed the gun and fire it at Douglas making a scratch on Douglas’ cheek.
Douglas used the knife and swing it toward Perkins. Perkins was so afraid that he passed out.
“That was great!” said Miriam
Douglas fell down onto the ground because he felt so weak.
“You must hurt a lot especially your back....” said Miriam looking at him
“It is ok. I was more scare that you would get hurt.” said Douglas
“That is why I left to go after you ...” said Miriam
“Why did you come after me? You are always like this...” yelled Douglas, “You aren’t scare of danger, always going after situations like this. That is why I am always afraid for you.”
“But ...but....", said Miriam
"Sorry.....I should have known you, Miriam. Thank you for saving me” said Douglas who then went and hug Miriam.
“Douglas, it is because you always go away by yourself. You don’t understand my feelings. I said the same thing before.” said Miriam
“I won’t leave you like that anymore.” said Douglas
“Really?” said Miriam
“If there is a problem I will discuss it with you. If you are in danger I will come and save you. If I am in danger....” said Douglas
“I will come and save you.” said Miriam happily
“You finally understand my feeling!” said Miriam hugging Douglas
Today the sky is so blue, the wind is so crisp, the rocks are so cute, and I am so romantic. *Douglas and Miriam kissing*Back in town, Douglas and Miriam brought everyone back and Donald was so mad that he had to stay another day. Miriam was telling everyone what Douglas had said when he was trying to save her that no matter if he has to go to hell he will go and shred that guy to pieces. Donald thought that is a good line to chase girls.
Not long after, Card and Joel slap Douglas on the back saying hi. Douglas told them to stop that since his back isn’t heal yet and that it still hurts. They slap him because they were mad that Douglas didn’t tell them about the assassin. Even Heuy pat Douglas on the back. *Ouch!*
William and Douglas was supposed to go fishing. Douglas was getting worms for bait. Miriam thought she can make a fake bait and that she is a genius to have thought of that. Leo went to them and told them that is was leaving. Before he left, he told Douglas that she is quite a handful.
Douglas had told Miriam that she is his life long partner. The best partner.
So would Miriam’s fake bait work?
“Today’s defeat is tomorrow success!” said Miriam holding the fishing pole, next to her is William and Douglas
“Yeah” said Douglas
Yup, she didn’t even catch ONE fish. *^^
