“So where should I shoot? Let test it out. Stomach? Heart? Head? Hmmm..hmmmm...I will shoot where ever you like!” said Emmet
Douglas just looked at him and smiled and said,”No need. My mom said never to take stuff from strangers.”
“You jerk. Go and DIE!” Said an angry Emmet
Click..nothing happened.
“Stupid!” Said Douglas getting a gun from the ground and then pointed it at Emmet
“All you have to do is count the bullets from that gun. This is your gun now. The situation is reversed.” Said Douglas
“Ah...that gun doesn’t have any bullets.” Said Emmet trying to buff his way out
“Do you want to try it?” Said Douglas
“NO WAIT!” Said Emmet
“Seems like there are bullets.” Said Douglas grabbing Emmet and pushing him against the wall. Douglas found out that Larry’s grandchild is at the “White Valley” a place where all the outlaws reside and only money can get someone out.It is morning. Ralph went to look around the area against the map directions. Miriam on the other hand had lost the bag of counterfeits when she dropped the bag off last night in the dark. So she decided to go off and look for it leaving Larry and Rod. When she was looking for the bag, she saw Jeffry Dan . Jeffry Dan started to shoot at Miriam. Ralph, Larry, and Rod all heard the shot. Even Jessi who was also near by heard it. Then Miriam started to shoot back. But Jeffry Dan was able to shoot her gun off her hand. So she started to call him all kinds of names making him shoot all his bullets so that she can dash away. She saw Jessi and called for his help while Jeffry Dan was reloading the gun. She complemented on Jessi for saving her life. But she know that he is slow. So she decided to jump onto a tree branch.
Meanwhile, Ralph went back to their camp. Found that Jeffry Dan was after Miriam. He gave those two the directions to the cave. Rod, on the other hand, seem to have something important to tell Ralph...but Ralph had to leave to find Miriam and Tom.
Miriam jumped onto the branch and realized that she had done this exact thing in the past before. She escaped and was heading back to camp when she fell into a ditch and was knocked unconscious.
It started to rain.......
Douglas was to meet them when he saw Ralph by himself. Ralph told Douglas that Miriam is missing. That she was off, chased by Jeffry Dan.
“What?” Said Douglas
“It is all my fault. I shouldn’t have left them alone.” Said Ralph
“What happened?” Said Douglas
“Whoever is with me will not have a good outcome! Airin died because of me. Miriam’s and Airin’s dangerous situations are all due to me! It is all my fault. ” Said an agitated Ralph while Douglas was trying to calm him down.
“RALPH!” Yelled Douglas giving him a punch.
“Are you ok?” Said Douglas
“Ah..I am sane now.” Said Ralph
“Where is Miriam?” Said DouglasJeffry Dan saw Jessi by himself and realized that he lost sight of Miriam so he left. Douglas and Ralph decided to go and look for her.
(“Don’t worry, Ralph! She isn’t that easy to handle.”)
While Douglas was looking for her, he is beginning to feel his ulcer hurting again. Miriam started to dream back the time when she has to wait for someone at the deserted barn when she was 8 yrs old. Douglas saw Jessi and Jessi pointed to the direction of where Miriam was last seen. Douglas started to look for her by foot, his hat fell off and landed on a ditch. He saw Miriam lying down there motionless.
“MIRIAM!” He cried.
He jumped down to the ditch and gently hold her up. Miriam was remembering who she was waiting for. A green eyed, black hair, named Douglas. She slowing opened her eyes and called his name.
He then gave her a ferocious hug. In anguished saying, “I thought....you were dead.”
“I only fell down. Jeffry Dan got away.” Said Miriam feeling very happy to be in his arms.
“Wait! I am all wet!” Said Douglas moving away
“Huh?” Said Miriam
“The tree branches were all around you so you aren’t wet” said Douglas
“What! I am already wet” said Miriam...but she looked and realized she wasn’t.
“It doesn’t matter!” Said Miriam
“Can you get up? Are you hurt?” Said Douglas
Miriam went and ruffle his hair and said,”Ah. Putting your hair down you look younger, putting it up make you handsome!”
“Hey!” Said an embarrassed Douglas, “Stop playing with my bands.”
“What? I am complementing you, don’t get mad!” Said Miriam
“I asked if you are hurt and you have time for this?” Said Douglas
“I am fine. Just a little bruised and scraped” said Miriam hopping away
“Really! Fell down twice and nothing happens. The first time is amnesia.” Said Douglas then looking at Miriam and wondering it couldn’t be this easy to regain her memory back while Miriam want to go off to look for Jessi.Douglas gave Miriam a blanket so that she doesn’t get wet. They realized that Ralph is suffering a lot because of this. So he probably is still looking for her. When they went back to the cave, Miriam thought maybe Airin is alive so she can save Ralph. But Rod told them she died.
“I looked for him because I wanted him to come back. When he left the town changed, everyone went and got rid of Danel. It was Jeffry Dan who killed Airin.” Said Rod to them....when Ralph came back to the cave.
Rod saw Ralph and said,”This is because of all your hard working. It is because of your relentless pursuit.”
“Really? That is why Danel moved location.” Said Ralph then he pat Miriam on the shoulder and said,”It is good you are well.”
“Airin had said. This whole town is chicken. Scare of Danel, listen to him. Why do you condemn him? He is the only brave soul. I want to fight this battle with him.” Rod told what Airin had said to him.
“Such a good child, the first time she talk back at me.” Said Rod.
“I was wrong. Please Come back. Come back to my newspaper agency. You are wet. I’ll lend you mine.” Said Rod to Ralph and took off his coat.
Miriam turned and saw Douglas already bare chest because he was wring his shirt to get the water out.
“AH!!!” Scream a red faced Miriam. She then looked around and cover her mouth.
“What! I only took off my shirt!” Said Douglas
“Sorry. I shouldn’t have scream. I was just shocked.” Said Miriam red faced and looking away.
“Hey! Don’t worry about it. Otherwise you get me embarrassed!” Said a red face Douglas now.
“Took off your shirt in front of a young lady!”
“I was WET!”
In town, some new comers came and asked for the directions to the opera house.
In the cave, Larry was telling them about White Valley. There is a head thug who controls the place. There is only one entry in and it is guarded. Whoever goes there has to bring a lot of money with them. That is where his grandchild is being held. Him in exchange for money. It would be difficult to get him out. So Larry wanted to go back to work for Danel. Miriam got the idea that they can use the fake money to get them in to save the kid. Larry said those are easily recognized as fake because he purposely didn’t do a good job on them. Douglas said that it is worth a try and he had called for help and they should be arriving soon.
At the opera house, Danel men didn’t leave after the show. They started to bully the people there and asking the owner where the old men were. Some men were getting fresh with the actresses....just then, Card went and trip one of the guy. Joel went and punch away another saying that woman get to choose and do not like man without manners. Heuy say he got a telegram and wanted to know who was the owner.
(“Airin is dead. Ralph went out to guard the cave. There is no one to save him now.” Thought Miriam)
Douglas got up to change shifts. Everyone is sleeping. Miriam sneak out after him and heard Douglas and Ralph talking. Douglas told Ralph that he understand how he felt. He didn’t know what to do if Miriam had died today. He admitted that he loves her. Miriam heard with wide eye.Danel decided to go to White Valley when he found out Emmet had told Douglas about it. Jeffry Dan decided to catch Douglas and them his own way.
Morning came. Douglas and Miriam saw that Ralph was sleeping so soundly so they decided to go off and look for the bag of missing counterfeits themselves. When Ralph woken, he gave the gun to Rod and went to look for Douglas and Miriam. Jeffry Dan went back to the area where he last saw Miriam. He found the bag of fake money. Then he heard Douglas and Miriam below the cliff talking about it. While he was aiming to shoot them, Ralph whom was in the center on top of them all saw the situation. He yelled to Douglas and Miriam to duck. Douglas tackled Miriam to the ground when the firing started. But Jeffry Dan was on top of Douglas and Miriam so they didn’t have the advantage to shot back at him. Jeffry Dan started to call Ralph useless. Ralph realized that he has to do something because of what Airin had thought of him. She had told Rod that Ralph is brave.
Meanwhile, Douglas was trying to get closer to Tom. But Jeffry Dan was trying to get away with the bag of fake money. Ralph was running toward Jeffry Dan when Douglas noticed that he has no gun. Even though Jeffry Dan started to shot at Ralph and hit him in the middle Ralph still advance toward him and beginning to punch Jeffry Dan until Jeffry Dan got knocked down and Douglas had to hold him back. Ralph realized that he isn’t him...it is what Airin’s love of him that mattered.
Back at the cave, they found that Danel went to the White Valley. Miriam was bandaging Ralph’s wound.
“What is this? Miriam. Last time I took off my shirt and you were screaming your head off. Now you are in front of Ralph’s bare chest and you don’t care at all!” Said Douglas
Miriam still doing the bandaging and doesn’t seem to care at all. When she was done she told Ralph not to go because he is wounded. She said she doesn’t know if he is brave or crazy to go directly in front of the firing line. Douglas doesn’t want Miriam to go to White Valley. But she said she is the one who capture Mr. Boler. Douglas stated that Mr. Boler is different because of his weird taste. Ralph asked Douglas what he meant by that. Then Miriam started to say that is only they know the real reason and realized her slip of the tongue and started to go out the cave. Douglas asked her how she knew that when he never told her. She started to chuckle. Douglas knew he was had! So he went after her.
“What are you guys doing?” Said Heuy
“Why did you ask us to come” said Joel and Card
“Heuy! Card! Joel!” Exclaimed an excited Miriam going toward them
“Huh? You know us? When did you recover your memory?” They said
“WHAT? So it's true you have remembered!” Said an angry Douglas
“Hey we are asking you” said Card
“Did you remember this a long time ago.....” Said Douglas
“No. I just remember yesterday!” Said Miriam staying behind the boys
“Hey! Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Said Douglas trying to advance to get her
“You didn’t ask!” Said Miriam
“Didn’t ASK? I was worried about you!” Said Douglas
“And....I heard what you told Ralph last night!” Said a happy Miriam
(“Last night?” Thought Douglas..then he got all red)The group decided to split up. Heuy and Ralph went to capture Danel men who were left behind. Douglas, Miriam, Joel and Card went to White Valley. Miriam had asked Larry why they called it White Valley. He had told him that the wind is very strong. It blows the dust like a white cloud.
At the White Valley before the entrance to get in, Danel and his men are already there. A wagon with Joel and Card and an old business man came and started to give out free liquor to Danel’s men. Then they left. After a while, they came back again. But this time, Miriam was seen on top of the cliff. The people in the wagon got off and it was Douglas, Card and Joel. Most of Danel’s men were all asleep because the liquor was drugged.
Douglas used Danel to show his face to the entrance of the White Valley. Douglas got in holding the bag of fake money. Joel and Card were pointing a gun to Danel to make him cooperate. Miriam was holding a gun against the rest of Danel men waiting for them. Meanwhile, Emmet was looking in since he didn’t listen to Danel to stay behind in town.
A very muscular and strong man named Leo was fighting all the other men in the White Valley. But he always win. He took a punch at Douglas...but Douglas duck his fist. Douglas went into the White Valley boss’s room. He then told the boss to hit the person gave him the boy and then kick him out of the valley and Douglas then knock all three of the bad guys unconscious. Douglas was about to get the boy to leave when Leo found him. He wanted Douglas to fight with him.
Emmet went to unarmed Joel, Card and Miriam. Asked Miriam to untied Danel. Miriam got angry and threw dirt at Emmet’s face. With this distraction, Joel, Card and Miriam got back the upper hand. But Danel got away and was already getting inside into White Valley. During this time, Douglas finally knocked Leo unconscious with a swift kick move.
But gun shots were heard and the men in the White Valley was about to investigate when Miriam realized that in order to distract those men she can get to the top of the cliff and throw down the fake money. The wind blew the fake money into the center of town of the White Valley where those bad guys all got into a frenzy trying to get the money when it fell down from the sky. So Douglas and the boy got onto the horse and got away while waving Danel good-bye.
Back in Miriam’s home town, they were all gathered around when Miriam was reading the newspaper which Ralph had written about their capture of Danel and his men. Ralph, Larry and Rod now all work together for the newspaper. Douglas talking to himself saying that Ralph probably will never marry. The theater group want to make that adventure into a play and all 3 actresses were fighting on who should act as Miriam. Jessi was brought to the farm and he met Willy there.
In the barn, Miriam looked at Douglas and happily stated,
“Douglas, don’t you have something to tell me?”
“Huh?” Said Douglas
“What HUH?” Said Miriam
“At the cave, it is meaningless if you don't directly tell it to the person.” Said a determine Miriam
“I just remember. When you remember how come you didn’t tell me. Are you trying to tease me?” Said Douglas
“I was afraid to remember. Afraid you would go back to the time of not noticing me.” Said Miriam sadly.
Douglas looked at her and say that Heuy would be throwing a pie at her face too. And that it is just their two’s problem to find a solution to it. Miriam looked at him and agrees.At another party, Miriam told Douglas that he was supposed to say how pretty she looked tonight. So Douglas said she looked pretty. But Miriam said there isn’t any sincerity in it. Douglas say so what do you want me to say? *^^’
